The White Crow Conservatory of Music, Saginaw

HOLD that thought!

POST APOCALYPTIC ST PATS EVENT! Rescheduled from March 17 to May 17th your original ticket is Still good!

As Im certain you know that everything is evolving here hourly.. SO looking at where we are today in it, we have rescheduled St Pats and we hope this will calm alot of concern for attendance. We had exceptional pre sales with only two tickets refunded.. BUT in the big picture we felt it best to reschedule to Sunday May 17th. I did not CANCEL This event ahead of having a new date because many of you purchased tickets online and your "eventbrite service fee" does not get refunded. GOOD NEWS is if May 17th works for you, you Do NOT have to repurchase tickets and pay the fee again your ticket date has been changed automatically but for those of you who CANT attend on May 17th and need a refund just click on "refund" at the ticket page and the process is easy.

I want to personally Thank everyone who did not cancel their tickets for this event leading up to and after the reschedule. The COVID 19 situation, as with many industries, has been crippling for Musicians and Venues alike. WE CANT wait to see you at the CROW on May 17th!

Our SHOW for MIKE FARRIS on APRIL 24th is also STILL on the books and on Schedule! Get your tickets in Advance.

Rory Makem comes from a long lineage of Irish musicians. His grandmother, Sarah Makem, was sought after for her vast collection of Irish songs. His father, the legendary Tommy Makem, who died in 2007, is widely known as the modern Bard of Armagh. So, it should be no surprise that Rory would turn out to be one of the leading voices in the Irish song heritage in his own right.

The County Louth, Ireland-born singer/songwriter who has been touring for more than 25 years will bring his favorite Irish music to the White Crow Audience in Saginaw MI on SAINT PATRICKS DAY 2020!

Makem-who is well known to audiences across the world, captivates listeners and fans with his skilled musicianship, his charisma and passion for the songs, his extensive knowledge of poetry and history, and his sense of humor. An adept interpreter of folk songs, he is also a multi-instrumentalist.

Not limiting himself to the stage, Makem has performed on movie soundtracks and his compositions can be heard woven into a number of PBS programs. He has recorded with many of the luminaries in folk music including Noel Paul Stookey, Tom Paxton, Schooner Fare and Gordon Bok.

CAN it get Better? YES, because opening the night with the First Set will be Siusan O'Rourke and Zig Zeitler with Monday's Supper! O'Rourke and Zeitler were nominated 3 times by the Irish music association for top Duo in the US UK EUR and IRE, and their last CD, "Chance the Arm" was named 2014 Celtic Album of the year by Irish Radio Celtic Echos. They are joined by their bandmates from their four piece, "Monday's Supper." On whistles, bodhran and backup vocals is Katherine Bach Morris of Hooley and Equinox fame and on fiddle, Nellie Schrantz Osantowski. A special "holiday set" from this band will include many of Americas Tin Pan Alley Irish American Favorites as well as some of O'Rourke's trademark originals and stunning Ballads.

NOT TO BE missed this will be a Rare night of wonderful Irish and Celtic music performed in an intimate setting by some of the best!

His repertoire includes soul, gospel, blues and roots rock music, and his ignited performances have garnered a large, faithful following of fans. One of the Finest Shows brought to the Crow, dont miss it!____________________"With a supersized voice filled with the electricity of Saturday night and the godly grace of Sunday mornings ." — Rolling Stone Country"On the singalong 'Snap Your Fingers' and a touch cover of Willie Dixon's blues gem "Let Me Love You Baby," Farris takes us down to the river and washes us clean in spellbinding performances you'll return to as soon as they're over." – American SongwriterComing off of an incredible GRAMMY win for 2015’s SHINE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE (Best Roots Gospel album), Nashville rocker Mike Farris keeps it earthy and personal on SILVER & STONE, (released September 7, 2018) on Compass Records. The title refers to his wife Julie's wedding ring, and the album is a celebration of their 23 years of marriage and her steadfastness in sticking by him through his years struggling with addiction and alcoholism. Now sober for 8 years, Farris has the energy and conviction of a man saved, a stack of anecdotes and life experiences that would make most people’s heads spin, and a soulful vocal delivery reminiscent of Sam Cooke or Otis Redding. SILVER & STONE isn’t a “gospel” album by any means, but Farris still takes us to church on these 12 engaging tracks, including a cover of Bill Withers’ “Hope She’ll be Happier.” Produced at Compass Sound Studio (AKA “Hillbilly Central” – the birthplace of Outlaw Country) in Nashville by Compass Records co-founder, Garry West, SILVER & STONE finds Farris imbuing his songs with a vibey, lighthearted feel, returning to his roots as a rocker and soul singer. The album weaves through the traditions of American music the way that Tennessee born and bred Farris has done expertly throughout his 25-year career, starting with his major label band, Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies.www.mikefarrismusic.comwww.smokinsleddogrecords.comJOIN the Fan Page atMike Farris #1 fans FINAL CROW SHOW of 2020Seating Limited Buy your tickets in Advance.
